All hours must be approved by a board member.
To be eligible for any, and all year end awards, each and every contestant, must have completed the required service hours stated below.
The amount of service hours required per member/contestant are 10 per individual and a maximum of 20 per family. A family amount of service hours is required if 2 or more individuals within an immediate family are competing. Service hours may be completed by volunteering help during any scheduled event or individual task that is approved before hand by the BFSC Board of Directors. An immediate family member is anyone within the immediate family structure, but will include: spouse, parents, siblings and any visiting grandparents. For any person wanting to work hours for a contestant outside these parameters please see a Board Member.
Service hours are non-transferable to anyone outside immediate family structure. All hours worked must be logged onto service hour sheets and signed by a member of the Board of Directors the day hours were completed. The signed sheet must be placed in the container marked "Service Hours" in the club house office the day of completion.
Eligibility of Board Members and their Families:
Any time spent during board meetings WILL NOT count as service hours. Board Members can earn service hours while working at an event, or doing a service for the benefit of BFSC. These hours must also be logged onto a service hour sheet and signed by another member of the board to count.
